Choosing a fishing spot

Catching a bream and larger specimens will be more effective for such conditions:
- the bottom is sandy or clayey with a small amount of silt;
- depth from 0.5 m and more;
- spawning begins in spring, fish spawn upstream;
- if bream fishing will be from the shore, it is advisable to choose a place with a sharp drop in bottom topography.
The best fishing time depends on the season. When spawning begins, you should leave by early morning. It starts spawning closer to shallow water. It should also be taken into account that spawning of bream in certain reservoirs automatically initiates a ban on its catch.
Accounting for behavioral factors
When fishing for bream, you need to take into account its behavior. It rarely sails far from its habitat - it hunts there and prepares to spawn. What to catch bream depends on the chosen method of production. In part, this is a predatory fish, but it can also bite on bread bait, boiled corn. Lives in silt, likes to get small crustaceans, insects.
Depending on where the bream theoretically lives, two types of its catch can be distinguished:
- Day. At this time of day, he prefers depth, with the exception of the behavior of spawning individuals. During the day they can swim close to the shore. It is then relatively easy to catch a bream if allowed.
- Night. In the dark, the fish prefers to stay near the shore. At night, when the bream pecks, it is better to choose a place near the shore. Worm can be used as bait. To make the bite better, it is recommended to feed. For scavenger fish, you can throw bread crumbs, for larger individuals - pieces of a worm.
Fishing in current and still water
Where to look for bream after spawning? He prefers to return to his natural habitat - depressions in the muddy bottom. These holes can be found with an echo sounder. In the spring-summer period, the fish begins to eat - it actively absorbs food, can hunt for fry. What does the bream peck at at this time? Bloodworms, maggots, annelids have proven themselves best. Fishing features depending on the presence of a current:
- In stagnant water. It is best to use hooks and float fishing rods. Usually the fish lives at a depth of 8 m.

Fish can try the bait for a long time - up to 10 minutes. No action should be taken during this time. Only after the final ingestion should be hooked - applies to all methods of fishing.
Features of fishing in winter
The winter fishing option has a number of features. First of all, there is a change in the behavior of potential production. You need to set a hard nod, as the fish will swallow the bait almost immediately. The size of the fishing line is up to 0.25 mm. Fishing takes place at great depths.
